Lutyens RestaurantThe extensive à la carte menu focuses on modern European, highly-seasonal food with a subtle Nordic influence. This influence is courtesy of the Swedish chef, Henrik Ritzen, who also specialises in offering a range of lighter dishes with limited use of butter and cream and on placing a greater emphasis on day-boat fish, garden-fresh vegetables, rare herbs and salads. Furthermore, the menu includes a Raw Bar section offering oysters, tartare, ceviche and carpaccio. Additionally there is a great value prix fixe menu which is always available at lunch and dinner. The generous menu options are complemented by one of the best wine lists in the City - as nominated by the AA guide - and the wine service is managed by a very experienced sommelier team. Quintessentially Conran in design, the restaurant is reminiscent of a dining room on board an art deco cruise liner, together with the feeling of a modern version of the much-loved classic Parisian brasserie. Seating 130, including a dining counter overlooking the kitchen, it is a light and airy space with large windows at both ends of the room. It also includes several notable architectural details such as the building's original structural steel columns. Additional features, which are now synonymous with its designer, include a large open kitchen, impressive food displays and a large cheese-conditioning cabinet.
