We hope to create an annual event where all our friends and neighbours in Fleet Street come together for an evening of feasting and fundraising. The evening will begin with cocktails specially designed by Julian de Feral, our award winning cocktail barman.
David Burke, the Lutyens head chef, has created a delicious dinner menu and Andrew Connor, head sommelier, has selected wines to complement the occasion. After dinner, dance away the night to the Lord Colwyn band before the midnight tombola with fantastic prizes.
£135 per person includes pre-dinner cocktails, dinner, wine, service and a £10 donation to the charity.
Around 28,500 people of all ages, from babies to grandparents, are diagnosed with blood cancers in the UK every year. When Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research started in 1960, blood cancer was a virtual death sentence. Over 50 years we have achieved so much.
Better diagnosis, treatments and cures are now available for all children, teenagers and adults with blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. We are rightly proud that thanks to our focused investment now 90% of children survive the most common form of childhood leukaemia. And that for some forms of lymphoma survival rates are as high as 75%.
But there is still so much work to do to improve survival rates for all blood cancer patients. The more money raised equals more lives saved. 2010 is a very special year for our charity as we are celebrating our 50th anniversary. Please help make it our best year ever!
